Japan 2022 Bid Committee (hereafter “the Bid Committee”) may collect personal information including, but not limited to, the name, address, age, telephone number, and e-mail address of individual users as part of the operation of the Japan 2022 Bid Committee Web Site (hereafter, “the Web Site”). The Bid Committee recognises its solemn obligation in respect of the proper protection of personal information, and to carry out its obligations, it handles all personal information based on the guidelines set out below:

1. Observance of the Law

In addition to observing all appropriate laws and statutes related to the protection of personal information, the Bid Committee shall handle personal information properly and in accord with what are generally accepted as fair and reasonable practices. The Bid Committee shall make improvements as and when they are needed.

2. Responsibility for Safeguarding Personal Information

The Bid Committee shall appoint a person with responsibility for the safeguarding of personal information in respect of this Web Site. The Web Site shall be managed in rigorous adherence to this privacy policy.

3. Prevention of Leakage, Loss, or Destruction of Personal Information

The Bid Committee will manage the Web Site appropriately, adopting proper countermeasures to prevent the leakage, loss, or destruction of personal information.

4. Disclosure, Correction, Removal or Desisting from Use

The Bid Committee shall respond in good faith to requests from individual users for disclosure, correction, removal, or the desisting from use with respect to personal information, when such requests are received through the designated channel.
