

Japan 2022 Bid Committee (hereafter “the Bid Committee”) has the following basic policy regarding the proper collection, management, and use of personal information. The Bid Committee implements the measures listed below for the purpose of safeguarding personal information in a comprehensive manner, according to the principles of the Personal Information Protection Law and other related statutes.
1. Collection of Personal Information
The Bid Committee collects personal information by lawful and appropriate means, clearly disclosing for what purpose such information is being collected, and only collecting it directly from the individual users themselves or from persons possessing the right of disclosure with respect to those individual users.
2. Management of Personal Information
When managing personal information, the Bid Committee takes appropriate and lawful measures to prevent any undesirable eventualities such as unlawful access, loss, destruction, tampering with, or leakage of said personal information.
3. Use of Personal Information
The Bid Committee uses any personal information it collects exclusively for the purpose advertised at the time when the said information was collected, and in a lawful and appropriate manner.
4. Third-Party Collection of Personal Information
In the event that the Bid Committee entrusts the collection of personal information to a third party, the Bid Committee shall select only a third party with proper security measures in place to safeguard personal information. These security measures shall be consonant with the security measures of the Bid Committee.
5. Providing Information to Third Parties
In principle, the Bid Committee will not furnish personal information to third parties without permission.
6. Rights of Individual Users
In the event that it receives a request from an individual user, the Bid Committee undertakes to comply with the request by disclosing, correcting, making additions to, removing, desisting from using, deleting, or desisting from providing to third parties, personal information in a lawful and appropriate manner and within reasonable parameters of social norms.
