Discovering the Next Generation of Top Athletes
The Nisshin Oillio Group sponsors the Japan Under-12 Football Championship. In this way, we play a part in discovering Japan's top future athletes, while also alerting their guardians and counsellors to the important role that well-balanced eating habits play in building up physical strength.
Our decision to become an Official Bid Partner and support the bid to bring the 2022 FIFA World Cup™ to Japan is based on our commitment to the young players in the Japan Under-12 Championship. We want them to develop their strength through healthy eating habits now so they can win a place on the national team when the tournament is next hosted here.
We have found that various former national team members we have met in the course of our interactions with the Japan Football Association (JFA) had been disciplined to following a balanced diet since childhood; this was part of their focus on developing the necessary physical strength to perform at the highest level on the global stage.
The year 2022 is not far in the future. And world-class physical and mental strength is not something that can be acquired overnight. As part of the JFA's efforts to elevate Japanese youth football to the global standard, we will be working with them to offer training in fair play, good manners, and—our particular area of expertise—food education.
Through our support of Japan's bid to host the FIFA World Cup™, the Nisshin OilliO Group is proud to encourage the dreams of those youngsters who aspire to be top athletes, and to promote the healthy eating so essential to mental and physical strength.
